The original
Articles for the Kentucky Softball Association Hall of Fame & Honor were
written in 1983 by then State Commissioner, James A. Moore, as an offshoot
of the Kentucky Softball Association
The
first Kentucky Softball Association Hall of Fame & Honor Banquet was held in
July 7, 1984, in Corbin, Kentucky.
In 1998, application was made for Kentucky Softball
Hall of Fame & Honor to become incorporated under federal non-profit
statutes and was approved in June of that same year.
The purpose of the Hall of Fame & Honor is to honor
those men and women who have played a major role in the growth and
development of softball in Kentucky.
Through this year's Banquet, there will have been
130 individuals, sponsors, and supporters honored for their efforts and
accomplishments by being inducted into the Kentucky Softball Hall of Fame or
Honor
Anyone may submit a nomination for the Kentucky
Softball Hall of Fame or Honor. Nominations should be submitted to any
member of the Kentucky Softball Hall of Fame & Honor Committee.
